BioFASTER LOUDER
is a weekly radio program on WVUA New Rock 90.7,
broadcasting every Thursday 8pm - 10pm CST.
This journal has been created to remind you of our broadcasts and to post our playlists, and to ease the process of contacting us for suggestions, complaints, requests, death threats, offerings of first born, etc.
The Mission of FASTER LOUDER:
1) Focus primarily on music of a faster or louder nature
2) To make said music furthermore louder and/or faster
3) Blast the motherfucking truth to the youth
4) Make every effort to ignore the boundaries of traditional "genre" terms, as
the only genre we choose to recognize is that of FASTER LOUDER.
FASTER LOUDER RULES
1) As the movement of FASTER LOUDER is timeless and global, at least 10% of our weekly broadcast shalt not be in English. This should come as no suprise since (a) Britain and America do not have the monopoly on good bands and (b) music is the universal language motherfuckers.
2) To further our aims of diversity, and to prevent laziness/boredom on the part of the programmers or the listeners, the same artist is not to be played in consecutive programs. The same song is not to be played in consecutive months.
3) Requests are fine, but due to the process involved in this program, they need to be made a week in advance. Requests are also subject to outright refusal.
4) Every effort will be made to fit as much music as humanly possible into two hours.
BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO USE A RADIO!!
Listeners not in Tuscaloosa with decent internet access can usually get a good feed from the internet....here. Click on the New Rock 90.7 link at the bottom left of the page. You must have Winamp installed for this to work, you can download a free version here.
BUT WHAT ELSE DO I GET??
FASTERLOUDER is now having occasional giveaway contests. The prizes will generally be worth no more than $2 and usually be an LP that may or may not be of sentimental value to anyone living. The contests will always be questions, winners will be the first to call in with the answer, and the phone number is 205-348-6082. Prize collection to be arranged if anyone actually calls in. Winners will also have photo taken with prize so we can use that to get people to listen to the show because apparently music doesn't speak for itself anyfuckingmore.
COULD I GET IT ON MY FUCKING I-POD??
MP3 format CDs of Faster Louder broadcasts (five or six shows [that's like 12 goddam hours!] per CD) can be purchased for a measly $2 ppd. CD-R copies also available. We'd rather trade for them (zines, demos, crappy drawings, records, polaroids, etc), so email Jon at ezelljon@gmail.com.
